Volunteer

Join our research team as a volunteer for the exciting citizen science project, OzDocs. You don’t need any research experience and you can participate online from home.

What’s involved

As a volunteer in the Ozdocs program you will have the opportunity to explore fascinating historical records and collections including:

  • Early newspapers
  • Photographs
  • Artworks
  • Correspondence and accounts from early settlers
  • Accounts of colonial scholars

You’ll be searching these historical records to uncover valuable information about Australia’s turbulent climate history. OzDocs volunteers are digging up detailed accounts of droughts, floods, bush fires, locust plagues and there’s so much more waiting to be discovered.
